The Type 8098 flowmeter from Burkert is part of the FLOWave product family. It is based on SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) technology and is primarily intended for applications with the highest hygienic demands. This is accomplished by using suitable stainless steel materials, a measuring tube free of any wetted parts other than the actual tube, and the ideal outer hygienic design.
The use of type 8098 FLOWave reduces not only the number of devices in your plant, but also the costs and effort involved in plant planning, installation, startup, and maintenance. FLOWave is easy to clean and requires fewer calibrations than comparable products due to the well-thoughout device construction with only one line and seal. FLOWave’s potential applications have now been expanded due to the addition of mass flow and density measuring parameters.
The FLOWave type 8098 can measure much more than just flow. The sensor, for example, detects changes in liquids and gas bubbles in the medium. To accomplish this, the device simultaneously records and analyzes various measuring parameters:
